Our department has a strong commitment to meet the new challenges in firefighting, emergency medical services, rescue, and hazardous materials through our training. All our personnel must have the ability to faithfully discharge their duties to our community, our mutual aid communities, and especially ourselves. Training and continuing education make this a reality that our personnel are willing to do.
Our department continues it's training into the new year as it has in past years. Our training time has been changed to the first Saturday of the month to accomadate a longer period in which to cover the needed skills of our profession. Our goal is to have all our personnel trained to the Fire Fighter 1 and 2 level. Other training includes HazMat, EMS operations and care, emergency vehicle operation and other new skills as they become available or needed.
