Practical And Tactical Handcuffing (PATH) Instructor’s Course July 14, 2008
Handcuffs are among the most often used tool by officers, yet training is severely lacking. Studies show that over 67% of resistance by subjects occurs after the first handcuff has been applied. All too often the result is injury and/or death to either the officer or subject.
This eight hour instructor course is the most complete and innovative handcuffing course in the country. The techniques presented are practical and effective. Topics to be covered include the safest approach and positioning for handcuffing, handcuffing resistive subjects, removing handcuffs, and the use of various types of cuffs, among others.
Oleoresin Capsicum Aerosol Training (OCAT) Instructor’s Course July 15, 2008
Since the introduction of the OCAT® training program in 1991, more than 4,500 instructors and 200,000 basic users have been trained from agencies such as healthcare, federal, military, law enforcement, security, and corrections. The OCAT® program is not brand specific and addresses the proper use of all OC products.
PPCI Training, Inc. is the only company in the world providing this invaluable training course. The PPCI instructor staff has many years of law enforcement experience, as well as more than a decade of OCAT® training experience.
The OCAT® program is designed for human service professionals who deal with conflict or potential violence. This includes corporations, law enforcement organizations, security, academic, healthcare, military, and federal agencies. More than 4,500 OCAT® instructors have been trained worldwide.
Monadnock Expandable Baton (MEB) Instructor’s Course July 16, 2008
PPCI offers a comprehensive one-day MEB Basic Instructor Certification Program. Upon completion of the 8 hour course, a MEB Basic Instructor can train and certify other qualified public and private law enforcement personnel in the 4 hour MEB Basic Course. Today, baton training must be appropriate and reasonable as defined by contemporary community and law enforcement standards. In a phrase, training must be court defensible. The Council's certification programs are appropriate, reasonable, and court defensible.
All classes lead to a 4-year instructor’s certification.
